We are founded upon the belief that the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God. It is the final authority for salvation, doctrine, and Christian living.
(See 2 Timothy 3:15–17; 2 Peter 1:20–21)
We believe that all people have sinned and are in need of salvation. Salvation comes only by grace through faith in Jesus Christ—not by works. The gospel is the good news that Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and rose again, offering new life to all who believe.
We obey the gospel through repentance (death to sin), water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins (burial), and receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit with the initial sign of speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives utterance (resurrection). This full new birth experience is how we are saved and restored into right relationship with God.
(See Acts 2:38; Romans 3:23–25; 6:3–6, 23; 1 Corinthians 15:1–4; Ephesians 2:8–9)
We believe there is only one God (Deuteronomy 6:4). He is the Creator of heaven and earth and of all living things. God has revealed Himself to humanity as the Father in creation, as the Son in redemption, and as the Holy Spirit in regeneration and empowerment.
Jesus Christ is the one true God manifested in flesh—both fully God and fully man. In Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. Through His name, we know the Father and receive the Holy Spirit.
(See Isaiah 9:6; John 14:9–11; Colossians 2:9; 1 Timothy 3:16)
As followers of Christ, we are called to love God and love others. We strive to live holy lives—both inwardly and outwardly—and to worship God with joy. We pursue righteousness and reflect God’s character in all we do.
(See Mark 12:28–31; 2 Corinthians 7:1; Hebrews 12:14)
We believe that Jesus Christ will return to catch away His church. In the end, there will be a final resurrection and judgment—where the righteous will inherit eternal life and the unrighteous eternal death.
(See 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17; Revelation 20:11–15)
We believe in the manifestation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. God ministers to His people through tongues, interpretation of tongues, prophecy, words of knowledge and wisdom, discerning of spirits, faith, miracles, healings, helps, and government. These gifts continue to operate in the church today.
(See Mark 16:15–18; Acts 5:16; 1 Corinthians 12:1–11)
